3nen 2kumi no Nakamatachi (official English name: 3-2 Class Mate Are Very Friendly Each Other, literal translation: Friends of Year 3 Class 2) was a line of flocked animal toys released in Japan between 1985 and 1987 by Takara. They are very similar to Sylvanian Families and Maple Town figures also available at that time. This toy line was first released in August 1985.

The first wave had students S-1 through S-39 and the first three teachers. 1986 introduced S-40 through S-63, Elefan, Sheena and Gray. 1987 released S-64 to S-71 and the four humans. Certain playsets and merchandise appear to be released in 1988, but no evidence of new figures. Some were released in more than one year and I’ve noted that on each individual page.

The official English title of “3-2 Class Mates” is seen on packaging in 1987.
